MobilityX Africa Joins Africa E-Mobility Week 2025 as Strategic Partner to Elevate Investment Visibility and Innovation

(AfEMA) is proud to announce MobilityX Africa as a strategic partner for Africa E-Mobility Week
2025 (AEW2025) — the continent’s premier platform for accelerating zero-emission, inclusive
transport solutions. Scheduled for 16–18 September 2025 in Addis Ababa, AEW2025 will feature the
Africa E-Mobility Forum, co-hosted by AfEMA and the United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP), in close partnership with the Ethiopian Ministry of Transport and Logistics.

This partnership represents a powerful alignment between AfEMA, UNEP, and MobilityX Africa to
spotlight investable African e-mobility ventures, expand access to capital, and deepen policy dialogue
across the continent.

A Flagship Investment & Innovation Collaboration

As a strategic partner, MobilityX Africa will co-lead the AEW2025 Accelerator Stage, host
investment-themed sessions, and moderate dynamic pitch formats spotlighting Africa’s most
promising startups. A key highlight of the collaboration is the joint launch of the Top 50 African
E-Mobility Companies to Watch — a continent-wide campaign to showcase high-potential startups
with scalable climate-smart transport solutions.

Key highlights of the partnership include:

• Top 50 Report Launch: A curated list of Africa’s most promising e-mobility startups will be
  unveiled during the Africa E-Mobility Forum, followed by a live pitch session and digital
  showcase.
• Accelerator Stage Curation: Four high-energy pitch and investment sessions co-designed by
  MobilityX Africa, uniting founders, investors, and public sector champions.
• Thematic Sessions on Capital Access: In-depth programming focused on de-risking
  investment, innovative financing mechanisms, and investor-founder matchmaking.
• Founder–Investor Mixer: A curated evening networking event to connect capital allocators
  with pioneering entrepreneurs driving Africa’s mobility future.

Co-Convened by UNEP: The Africa E-Mobility Forum

The Africa E-Mobility Forum — UNEP’s flagship policy platform on electric mobility — will be co-hosted by AfEMA and UNEP at AEW2025. The Forum will convene an estimated 500 in-person delegates, including government leaders, city officials, climate investors, DFIs, and mobility innovators to catalyse systemic, scalable solutions for sustainable transport in Africa.
