  • High-Profile Attendance: The event was honoured to host Daniel Guenther, Head of German Development Cooperation, alongside representatives from Kenya’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the National Electric Mobility Taskforce, and the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, who delivered inspiring opening addresses on the importance of a sustainable mobility future for Africa.
  • Investment Opportunities: Showcasing over 25 transformative mobility projects from across Africa, AEW2024 attracted millions in investment potential, signalling strong investor interest and commitment to advancing Africa’s e-mobility infrastructure and services.
  • Global Zero-Emission Commitment: In a landmark announcement, Global Commercial Vehicle Drive to Zero revealed that two African countries are set to sign a Global MOU to accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles, positioning Africa as a key player in the global zero-emission movement.
  • Launch of the Charge Africa MOU: The Africa E-Mobility Alliance (AfEMA) introduced the Charge Africa MOU, a groundbreaking agreement aimed at uniting governments and industry leaders across the continent. Signed by nine African countries, this MOU is set to catalyse electric mobility growth, driving collaboration for a cleaner, more connected Africa.
